In 1982, Moses Brown formed a Southern Style Rhythm & Blues Band at Alcorn



State University called PROJEKT; its destiny was to become part of Vicksburg,



Mississippi rich music inheritance. Eighteen years later PROJEKT is releasing



Its second full CD, now stronger than ever and exploring new places. PROJEKT



Musical journey has included winning the 1992 Battle of the Jams in Jackson,



Ms., and opening for blues legends such as Bobby Rush, Sir Charles, Shirley Brown,



Little Milton, Ernie Johnson, Lynn White and Bobby Blue Bland, Betty Wright.



PROJEKT also toured with Chuck Strong and James Payne on the 2002 & 2003 world tour and the band has also been a regular at the Riverfest Casino in Vicksburg.





The band has also performed at many different casinos including Ameristar,



Rainbow and Ballys in New Orleans, LA also the Long Star Casino in Greenville,



Mississippi. Now the group is about to lunch their own recording career as a self



Contained group.



PROJEKT has been touring in 2002 & 2003; we are about to go to the next level.



Moses Brown serves as the bass player and bandleader, he also is the CEO of Brice



Records. Brown still runs it all out of his automobile detail shop on Second North



Street but is making room for a new building. PROJEKT plays a combination of



Funk and blues being inspired by groups such as, The Commodores and Kool and



The Gang. Its new CD featuring his hit single Lay Me Down and Brand-New

Michael Brown, the youngest member of the band and college student. He has



Been playing with Projekt for several years. I was playing with older guys and I got



A lot of experience that younger players cant give me, said Michael. With there
