Details:
Somethin' Good is the debut album from Chicago-area based Corban. It features 11 original tracks all written by the two founders...Jonathan Boggs and Jared Swift. Both are seniors at Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. The band is characterized by thoughtful lyrics brought to life through the excellent vocal harmonies of Jared Swift and Tamra Trowbridge, also a Valpo townie. Add to the mix Jonathan Boggs' passionate guitar and the journeyman musical talents of David Lubarski, Nigel Dennis, and Todd Miller (from The Evaluation) and you definitely have the recipe for Somethin' Good!

Corban's style is folk-influenced acoustic rock with a gospel flair. "Somethin' Good" takes you on an eclectic adventure, from upbeat small-town angst in "Pain That Running Doesn't Ease" to a critique of modern-day evangelicalism in "Supper" to the problem of predeterminism from an existential perspective in "Hewn in Tears" to a light-hearted twist of the romantic cliche in "Three Piece Band."

About "Somethin' Good", Jonathan Boggs said, "We tried."
