DRAGONFLY
This collection of songs was conceptualized while I was living in Korea during 2006. After ending a three year run with my fusion trio, EN2, I had a pretty good taste of touring and all the hardships that come along with it. The question that I had been asking myself, and what led me to dissappear into Asia for a year, is "What is the purpose of all this?"
This music is a reflection of my emotions and thoughts in recent months, a sort of answer to that question. Imagine being taken out of your comfort zone, and put into a place where no one understands you, where you don't understand them, and living there for a year. People in this situation either spend a lot of time in contemplation or they find a way to run from the solitude, somehow. I spent a little time doing both, and this music is the result.
I'm looking forward to doing a lot more recording in the future. I'll be living in Los Angeles for the next few years working on my Doctorate in Studio/Jazz Guitar at the University of Southern California. Please feel free to contact me and let me know what you think of the new album.
