Rocket One is a solo artist / engineer and founder of inde record label NW Order. His style is original, "No Gimmics" he says.His first solo project called "LIFE" has been a huge success in many circles. Cant really put him in any category, his music is uplifting but down to earth. Rocket One's full length solo album "LIFE" consists of 13 tracks of well written songs for all ages. Very clear spoken, every word is understandable. No explicit lyrics, "Your Mother's favorite MC"... With song titles like "Light", giving thanks through the music, "One Love" is a well worded piece, and "Peaceful Protest" gives current views on goverment, current events, and peace.

Rocket was born in Colorado Springs, at the Fort Carson Amy Base, June 15th 1976 - Year of the Dragon. His father finished his Army career when Rocket was a year old and moved to Camas Washington, where Rocket attended school until 5th grade when he moved to the Vancouver school district, attend school there until his expellation in 10th grade. Mainly interested in break dancing and graffitti, he started freestyling with "Poor Urban Souls". Years later in 1999, with group member Mercy, they put out a CD called "To Be Continued...". This release would forever mark and change the local scene. Rocket One, Mercy, Resk, Afect One were Poor Urban Souls until Afect died in 1996 because of an enlarged heart. Afect was Rocket's little brother and best friend and was 17 when he died. This is why I rap, to live and speak for the ones that are not here"! Rocket also has recently become a parent, fathering a beautiful baby girl in the year of the Dragon - 2000.
