Romanticide
How we came to be:
Formed in Sevierville, Tennessee. Josiah Ellis and Mark Warwick started having weekly practices in September, 2006, playing anything from Nickelback to PaPa Roach to Three Days Grace.
In dire need of a bassist they decided to contact another friend Coy Parton. Coy didn't even own a bass at the time but soon purchased one and was thrown into the mix. Josiah and Mark soon realized that Coy had a talent not only at bass, but also the violin.
Being that he played in a local symphony his skills at music were adapted to the group.
Soon after that, the group realized that Coy could not play both instruments at the same time. So they contacted another friend to join. Logan McCann. Ever since he has fit right in with his bass in hand. His creativity has helped in writing more material.
Last but not least is Sarah Eakin. Josiah had originally planned for her to be apart of a group once he established one and felt that the group was ready. Thus being said she joined after the group had a few months of practice.
Blessed by her amazing vocal talent and much vocal training, Sarah is one voice you will never forget. Taking part in many solo's and lead's at New Hope Church, plus having solo's in "Smoky Mountain Christmas Celebration" the past 2 years. Romanticide is proud to have her as a dear friend and fronting the group. She recently opened a Dolly Parton Concert singing the National Anthem with a local trio at the Smokies Stadium
Romanticideâs first show was the Masquerade Ball at the Grand Ball Room in Pigeon Forge TN, as a fund raiser for Saint Judeâs Hospital. There they played their first single they had wrote a month before and âGoing Underâ covered by Evanescence. The feedback was high and theyâve been inspired to write more material ever since.
The band wants to be on the front lines influencing secular crowds with something that is redeeming. The band feels compelled to minister in this way. Similar to the band Red from Memphis, TN
