Scott was born in Beaufort, SC and born again in 1979. For a couple of years before he was saved, Scott was a lead singer in a rock band and lived a ârock-n-rollâ life style. Then he met Jesus.

What happens when a lead singer in a rock band meets Jesus? As Scott says,

âIt was more like a collision than a meeting, but thatâs what it took to get my attention. I always thought that a ârock-n-rollâ life style was the good life.
Turns out, it was no life at all.â

And thatâs when everything began to change. Through faith in Christ, Scott was introduced to the true meaning of a fulfilling life. From that moment forward, his singing and songwriting began to reflect how the mercy and patience of a loving God led him from a life bent on destruction to a life filled with âa hope and a futureâ (Jeremiah 29:11).
