Details:
How many nights have you tossed and turned, watching the hours tick by, thinking, obsessively thinking, "There just aren't enough self-produced CD's in the world!"

Oh, I feel your pain. And in addition, I often wondered how the world even kept on its axis with such a gross under-abundance of solo electric bass CD's!

Well, thank God for me, because through endless hours of toil and trouble, the equivalent of 10,000 hours working in a haunted coal mine without a fancy light-helmet, my CD, the one that fills the void of both the not-enough-self-produced-CD's-in-the-world, and the not-enough-self-produced-solo-electric-bass-CD's-in-the-world, has been released to free you from the very torment that keeps you from singing at the top of your lungs, "Glory Saints be praised, what a joy to be alive!"

Martin Scorsese says this about my CD: "Um, I'm Martin Scorsese, and I was hanging out with Bobby DeNiro and we were both talking about the supreme artistry that bursts forth from Cory's CD like a fountain of goodness filled with fresh goodness-juice. Wow, what a guy! And a good cook too. Next time I'm cooking for you C.C.!"*

God had this to say about my CD: "For years, nay eons, mine ears have been in constant, horrific pain from all the junk music you humans produce. At one point, back in 1775, I was like, 'When are these stupid people going to get it?' Then, in the glorious year of nineteen and seventy-one, Cory Nettlebottom Combs was born, and in him I put the soul of ten Bachs, three Mozarts, and a whole bunch of French composers. And now, finally, mine work has borne fruit. And oh such sweet fruit mine work has borne! Cory's self-produced, solo electric bass CD is finally available to heal the scars of the world. Thanks, C-Dawg! Keep Rockin!"**

In a recent chat with the Dalai Lama, I had this to say: "...oh, man, that really was a wild party. You were so out of control, Dal. And what was up with you and that bowl of guacamole? Learn to share, D. There's always more guacamole!"

So, in a well-earned conclusion, if you buy my new CD, Postcards from California, it will be like a big-assed shot of meaning and purpose right into your brain. You won't be sorry, and if you are sorry, then you're sorry for some other reason, and I would suspect that you have a pre-disposition to feeling sorry in general, and in that case, it's me who feels sorry. Sorry for you.

BIO:
Cory Combs was born in Wichita, Kansas, and now lives in San Francisco, CA. He has done many things in his life, including: watching TV, going for an occasional walk, blabbing on the phone like a twelve-year-old girl, renting movies, eating burritos, plugging in various kitchen appliances, peeling oranges, grapefruits and sometimes apples, swatting mosquitos, looking for split-ends, getting lost in big cities and wishing his shift would be over already.

Real Reviews:
"I heard a "road movie" in "Postcards from California."  Nothing is sung, and nothing is conveyed through a song lyric.  Not at all necessary, for what Cory Combs has to convey about life, loss and loneliness, he says with his electric bass."
