These songs are a look at the prophets; what they did, what they said, how God regarded them. They take you from Abraham arguing with God about Sodom, to Moses pleading with God to remember His promises, to Nathan the prophet confronting David about the Bathsheba incident, and many other places. They were in danger most of the time, under threat, despised, but through their words the old world was torn down and the new world was built. And they all pointed to the Great Prophet who was to come into the world, Jesus of Nazareth, the one to whom all the world owes their obedience.
