Uncommon Christmas Carols is Susan Cantey's second Christmas CD. It focuses on carols that are not ordinarily the first ones that come to mind (those are all on her "Merry Christmas" CD). These carols are all unique and beautiful, destined to become the listener's new "old" favorites.

From the classical sound of "Adoremus Te" written in the 16th century to the spiritual sound of "Mary Had a Baby" to Susan's own classical pop creations, this CD has something for everyone. It focuses on bringing the true spirit of Christmas alive.

Susan's short biography:

Susan has always loved to sing. Even as a child, she would make up tunes and sing herself to sleep at night. In 1975 Susan joined BMI (Broadcast Music Incorporated) and recorded a Christian album. Her band played at churches and Christian coffee houses during the summer. In the fall of 1975, Susan entered college. She graduated in three years, Phi Beta Kappa, and become a math teacher. Song writing fell by the wayside. In 2000 Susan met a wonderful Christian man who challenged her to start writing songs again. She began writing prolifically.

In January 2003, Susan joined NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) and a local song writersâ group in Dayton Ohio. Today she is still continuing to work hard at the craft of songwriting, arranging and producing. Currently she performs her songs at local churches, restaurants and vocal contests. She records her music on her computer using Sonar software and gives away her Christian CDâs as part of her ministry. She also teaches mathematics full time at Walnut Hills High School.
