Details:
Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Lindsay Tomasic creates incandescent music that glows with sensitivity and soulfulness. Her latest album, What In The World, is compelling and vibrant with sonic surprises and clever metaphors. With songs that speak to us about love, life, family and the state of the planet, What In The World takes you on a free flowing ride.
Although many of the songs were penned by Lindsay alone, the album features a handful of notable collaborations with songwriters, Lisa Rapport, Lauren Wood and Stephen Chase. A pleasing range of producer sensibilities highlight the album, from Geoff Michaelâs production of the Carole King/Gerry Goffin classic, Pleasant Valley Sunday to imaginative original tracks that we were co-produced by Lindsay and eclectic drummer/percussionist,Jo Pusateri.
The album features a cast of fine musicians, including guitarist Johnny Lee Schell, drummer and percussionist Nicole Falzone, chapman stick and bass player Larry Tuttle, violist Novi Novog, acoustic bass player Warren Giancaterino, legendary keyboardist Bill Payne, vocalist Jesse Fitzpatrick and others. What in the World delivers a satisfying combination of tasteful musicianship and impeccable recording quality.
What People Are Saying About Lindsay Tomasic:
"In my book, Lindsay Tomasic is among the best singer/songwriters in the world. Her songs are sweet and poignant, her voice is mesmerizing. Her acoustic guitar style is expressive and beautiful. I have recorded some of the best in the business and Lindsay is their equal."
Harry Maslin â Producer/Engineer (Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, Carly Simon, David Bowie, etc.)
âThe thing I have always recognized in Lindsayâs work is her unmistakable love of music â all kinds of music. Itâs the golden thread running throughout everything she touches as a songwriter, performer and producer. Her work is always musical, full of heart and soul - spiritual, thoughtful, and consistent. Sheâs uber-talented, the ultimate professional, always true to her craft.â
