Scott Hallock is an acoustic singer/songwriter. With Bob DiGirolamo he is part of a duo team and band known as Tapping the Grey Sky. Their debut CD, "More Than I Can Carry," includes 13 songs written by the two artists. Like the Indigo Girls, Bob and Scott write separately and work out arrangements together, adding to each others songs. Both musicians play a variety of instruments on this CD including mandolin, harmonica, various percussion, acoustic/electric six and twelve string guitars as well as bass. Scott and Bob are accomplished singers and create rich strong harmonies on all thirteen songs. Guest artists on the CD are among some of the finest New Jersey musicians and add many textures to create depth to the tracks.

Bob's song, "More Than I Can Carry" was chosen for the compilation CD, "NJ Bands Benefit for Children's Specialized Hospital." Scott's song, "Mr. Bear" was selected for the Poet Man Acoustic Rainbow Sampler #2, which received airplay worldwide. Recently, Mr. Bear was awarded 7th place in the 16th Annual Mid-Atlantic Song Contest sponsored by the Songwriters Association of Washington, DC. Response from fans indicates that some of the more popular tracks on the CD are "Where I Go," "All Alone," "Angels in the Sky," "Horse With Wings," and "As We Grow."

Listening to the CD, it is apparent that Scott and Bob are influenced by the acoustic folk, rock and pop music of the 60's, 70's and 80's as well as the more contemporary music of the 90's.

Tapping the Grey Sky has performed in a variety of venues including festivals, county and street fairs, coffee houses, restaurants, bars, libraries, bookstores, and private parties in New Jersey, New York, Arizona, Florida, Massachusetts and Colorado. In the New Millenium it is their goal to reach a wider audience with performances at more festivals and other venues throughout the country.

In addition to performing together, each performs solo as well as in a five piece band for bigger events. In their travels Bob and Scott have met and/or performed on the same program with many prominent musical artists including Rex Fowler of Aztec Two Step, Livingston Taylor, Arlo Guthrie, Roger McGuinn, Emmy Lou Harris, Michael Martin Murphy, Dave Wilcox, America, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jars of Clay and Riders in the Sky.
