Hi to all listeners out there â well âFeel It!â has finally made it to CDBaby - including 2007 UK songwriting contest semi-finalist - 'Soul Deep'
So what do you get? â well some have called it the chill out album after the dance feels of âWOMP" - a few
more laid-back grooves â a bit more hiphop and funk than world â perfect for that dinner/before the tropical pool party vibe â think Michael Buble meets Bob Marley with Macy Gray...
It starts with the very mellow Euro-pop feel and sound of âSoul Deepâ â featuring the Buble smooth vocals of Stuart McVicar and the plaintive French voice of Olivier LeJus. Next comes the reggae/ragga theme song for the album âFeel It!â. 'Come on home' is a more personal song about my daughter, 'Reggae Fire' is a Bob Marley inspired song sung by Winston Hazell. Next is the Macy Gray sound of Mishka singing 'Anything for you', then Chris Bright does a stirring rendition of a township jive inspired song, 'Saving Grace'. Some good ol' blues with Stuart again featuring Brian Somerville on trumpet. Party feel again with Mishka on 'Zouke', then me again on a reggae/funk feel with 'Jah Jah' and my favourite 'Valentine'. There is a bonus track remix of 'Soul Deep' inspired by Tony Flint's dance remix.
