After a long hiatus from any serious musical project, m. Wagner finally picked up his guitar three years ago and started the foundation for velvet mishka. M. Wagner aka Matthew Peckham was formally trained in violin as a young boy but always had an eye on his fatherâs guitars around the house. At the age of 14 he picked up the guitar and never looked back. Joining/forming his first band in the late eighties, Green Sun, with bandmates Mat LeJeune, Trevett McCandliss and Zak Nilssonâ¦young and rocking out. However, a near tragic accident involving the drummer started a chain of events that led to the ultimate break up of Green Sun. After the loss of his first band, M. Wagner bounced around from project to project, mostly doing solo stuff and focusing on his song writing. He bounced around for a few years before arriving in Eugene, OR and attending the University there. After graduating it just made to move to Portland, OR where he has resided for the last five years. All of the songs on the debut album, âfalling downâ were written in Portlandâ¦a testament to the inspirational power that is this wonderful city. Thank you for listening.
