Ben Pollack, was a member of the New Orleans Rhythm Kings, became a popular band-leader in the 1920s and 1930s. some of his sidemen included Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller and Jack Teagarden. Ben Pollack devised the idea of having a small group, within the the larger band, featured in front to play exciting jazz.

With a "play on words" the cover art on this new CD release is an original tribute to Jackson Pollock, the innovative 20th century artist and painter!
