Details:
This CD is a re-issue of early Coyote Zen music which was previously available only in limited release, and on television soundtracks. A glimpse into the formative years of creator Jeffrey Gray Parker's journey to find the heart of the music that would become Coyote Zen.
The first three tracks on the CD are featured in the rodeo documentaries, "American Bullfighter" and "Cowboy King" by Academy Award nominated director/producer, Ramzey Telley, (Rodeo Circus Films, Gabriel Films), they both continue to air internationally on The Discovery Network.
The last 3 songs are early instrumental recordings. Tracks 4 and 6 are featured in the Oklahoma State University art documentary "Art and Culture in Oklahoma" for PBS and OETA television. Track 5 is a rare recording from 1989 and is released here for the first time.
Tracks 2, 3, and 5 were recorded with composer/engineer Mike Murray at his "NightShades Studio" in Norman, OK. Jeffrey and Mike began music colaborations and recording together in 1976 and continue to stay in touch with hopes for future colaborations. Enjoy!!
