The BDIâs began their musical career in Southport in the mid-nineties as The Panda Gang attracting almost immediate attention from such luminaries as Jimmy Miller (legendary producer of The Rolling Stones and Traffic) who expressed an interest in working with the band after hearing their early demos. Unfortunately Miller died before any collaboration could take place.

Fuelled by Millerâs belief, together with growing record company interest, the band abandoned the Northwest for London where they launched themselves on the capitalâs live circuit, also honing their three part harmonies by busking throughout the West End.

For A Rainy Day (1998)

The bandâs career finally took off in 1998 when they released their debut album âFor A Rainy Dayâ in Japan to ecstatic reviews. Lead track âMorning, Eveningâ was a hit on Tokyo radio and the band were flown over to perform live to a tumultuous reception.

Flipside / World Of Trouble (2000)

Back in the UK, the band marked the new millennium by releasing their British debut single âFlipsideâ on the highly respected Shifty Disco label. The band joined fellow Shifty Disco artists on a short nationwide tour.
