Brian Deer first gained regional and national attention as a founding member of Indianapolis roots rock outfit Citizens Band. In 2004 with the release of his first solo effort, "Black Cloud Talk", Brian expanded his sonic spectrum to include pop, and alternative sounds. "Black Cloud Talk", produced by Matt Thompson (Mighty Blue Kings), also included meaningful collaborations with Roots Rock legend Robbie Fulks, members of Sonia Dada, and Nate Walcott, keyboardist for Bright Eyes. Brian's newest release, "Found Objects" is a six song EP that was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee with Dualtone Records recording artist/producer powerhouse Carey Ott. The material recorded in Ott's Velvet Shoreline studio, explores yet another facet of Deer's musical and lyrical palette. The songs on "Found Objects" range from mysterious ballads ala Leonard Cohen to all out rockers reminiscent of Bowie and Attractions era Costello. Brian Deer's live shows with his band the Achievers also travel the dynamic spectrum from delicate ballads to fire branded rockers which showcase the band's well tuned improvisations.
