Growing up in the small southwestern town of Montrose, Colorado, Cody Crump began to focus on music at a young age. With the support and guidance of his parents he began to play in numerous local acts, one of them including the well known Edison Gale. As a member of Edison Gale, Cody played many live shows in various locations in Colorado, as well as a two week tour in Austin, Texas. After the short, but succesful career of Edison Gale came to an end Cody once again turned his full attention to his solo act. It was then that he began to record his debut album. At first listen it is evident that Cody Crump is a very well developed musician, especially considering the fact that he is only seventeen years old. His blending of infectious melodies with broodingly dark electronica elements invokes sounds made familiar by acts such as Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails, yet creates a fresh new sound that will have you listening to his album over and over. If that is not enough, Cody is also known to have one of the most original and entertaining live acts to surface in years. Mainly known for his energetic and theatrical performances, Cody Crump is an act that you should be sure not to miss.
