Once upon a time, Cooper Smith and Ben Walters met in the rainy woods around Seattle. They soon realized that both like making loud and trippy noises, tweaking electronic sound destroyers and piecing together songs out of skeletal ideas. And playing guitars is pretty fun too.

Songs began to emerge. Over many long nights and bottles of wine, these poor songs were coaxed into forms their own mothers would not have recognized.

Cooper and Ben thought these songs deserved a life of their own and a chance to see the world. They enlisted the help of a few amazing musicians, with Darius Minwalla banging out the beats, Jon Auer singing backing vocals and consulting on aural intricacies, and Joe Reineke manning the boards and providing spiritual guidance.

The results are wildly varied, a pack of unruly children each wanting to run in a different direction. A strange resemblance does give an indication of shared heritage, but no signs of inbreeding have been reported yet.
