THIS IS CD NUMBER TWO for Craig Fielder the Killer bass player from Flint Mich.Craig has opened, played and sat in with the likes of , Roy Ayers,George Clinton, Pharoh Sanders,Jack McDuff,even opened for the late Great Buddy Rich with the awesome drummer Greg(VIBRATIONS) Williams who is a personal friend of Craigs and introduced Craig to most of Jazz Greats. One night at Bakers Keyboard Craig was hanging out back stage with Greg while Pharoh Sanders was warming up between sets when Pharoh walked in the back still blowing his horn walked right up to Craig and said YOU LOOK LIKE A BASS PLAYER! and asked Craig to sit in with himself ,Greg Williams, John Hicks on keyboard.Craig is now producing and writing music on his own in the xtrordinary weapons studio,Craig is also a very funky drummer and can come up with some bad as grooves ,plus what makes Craig unique is He plays all the horn solos and lead keyboard parts etc. ON A BASS,you dont realize this when you hear it, he has prefected the style of imitating a SAX PLAYER, FLUTE , TRUMPET,and PIANO Craig says this comes from sitting in with a lot of Great Players famous and unfamous and listening to a lot of jazz players like (Trane,Bird , Miles etc.)Jazz great Ornette Coleman was very impressed with Craigs playing once in Germany and introduced himself along with bassists Victor Bailey and Shawnette Mophet who were also impressed, and to Craigs surprize Victor Baliey had heard of Craig years ago and said he was glad to finally meet the monster bass player from flint mich.
