Primarily known for her fiery fiddling, Austin, TX's Darcie Deaville is an accomplished musician, writer, and performer.
She sings her own songs in concert, and is a sideperson to a wide range of acts from Tom Paxton to Ani di Franco both on stage or in recording sessions. Darcie has just finished her first book, called "Twinkle Twinkle Fiddle Star, to be published this year.
Darcie's theatre work includes the debut of her one woman musical "Tornado In Slo Mo", Sam Shepard's "Back Bog Beast Bait" (his very first play), "Cottonpatch Gospel", "Always, Patsy Cline", "Oil City Symphony", and "Woody Guthrie's American Song".

A Toronto native, Darcie has led a gypsy-like life, living all over North America. Each new place stirring in another ingredient into her potent musical gumbo, heavily spiced with large doses of fiery fiddling. And her guitar playing can fly through the fields of bluegrass and grease the blues in a way that makes it boil and smoke.
She's equally at home with the mandolin, octave mandolin and other stringed instruments. Straight up, Darcie Deaville is a musical powerhouse. Whether playing, writing, teaching or lending her talent to any number of sessions, Darcie delivers every time.
But it doesn't stop there. She's also an accomplished actor, writer, producer and musical director. In August 2001, Darcie's own one woman musical, Tornado In Slo Mo, debuted in her home base of Austin, TX at the Hyde Park Theatre . She's worked off Broadway in New York City, too. Her theatre credits include 'Cottonpatch Gospel,' 'Always, Patsy Cline,' and 'Woody Guthrie's American Song'.
