File Under K is a two piece rock band from San Francisco, CA that follows philosophies based on years of writing and performing music in various mediums. One philosophy that File Under K supports is that studio albums should be recorded and overdubbed by only a small step above what can be performed live. Their Klepto Records debut album âWhere Were Weâ utilizes this âwhat you hear is what you getâ ideal, which is very different from most rock albums produced today.

File Under K also believes that good music and good songs are just that, good music and good songs. The band tries to not fit into a mold when writing original material and a new song could easily be an aggressive, distorted rant or a soft reflection of life, a long as it is entertaining, relatable, and distinctive.
