Monique Ford is a natural talent. She began singing in church at the age of five and has been singing ever since. She is a pure vocalist, vocal arranger, and songwriter having written songs on all of her CDâs. Growing up in Selma, AL her musical influences were gospel legend Shirley Caesar, Betty Wright and Whitney Houston. She sang in talent shows and gospel choirs until being discovered in 2004 by a local record company.

She began her professional music career with the release of her first CD âGet A Maidâ on Mardi Gras Records. This was a successful introduction into the Southern Soul industry. With the hit ladyâs anthem âGet a Maidâ and swing song âAll Of My Loveâ everyone knew there was a new diva in town. Her sophomore CD âThe Real Dealâ was released in 2005 on Hep Me Records. She took her talents to a higher level by writing and arranging nine songs on the album. She has shared the stage with many Southern Soul greats and is only beginning what will be a long musical career. She is a smart, sexy lady and sheâs back with a new CD â Ladies Get Your Ownâ. Itâs obvious she has matured as an artist and is sounding better than ever.
