This street hustler/underground rap veteran puts the underground rap world in a verbal choke hold with his forth coming album, âPayolla, The Classic/Claiming da Streetzâ. Northern born but, dirty south raised, Franch Braidâs seasoned flow is guaranteed to stand the test-of-times with the most respected rappers in the industry today.
Introduced to the game in the early nineties by his life long comrades, Black and Wild of âThe Black Knightsâ, Franch Braid joined forces with âSuicideâ AKA Mack Marvin, and formed the underground rap duo, âSouthern Dialectâ. During their journey, the group collaborated with some of the southâs most respected artists and producers including David Banner, Kamikaze, Freddie Young, Kage, Lamorris Williams, and C-Loc. In an attempt to gain more exposure and display their lyrical talent, Mack Marvin migrated to Memphis, Tenn, on a solo mission to establish a strong foundation in the Memphis underground rap world. Shortly after, Franch Braid rejoined his other half of the rap duo and migrated to Memphis as well. During Franchâs solo career he became frustrated with paying countless dues and began producing his own tracks due to high studio expenses. In 2004 he hooked up with his childhood partner/rapper, Wild and founded, âAbove All Records.â It wasnât long before the two talented artists started to bang out underground hits in the studio and decided to introduce their talents by releasing the introduction of Franch Braidâs long awaited album, âPayolla, The Classic/Claiming the Streetzâ, on âPayolla, The Classic da mix-tapeâ.
