You can hear it in their original songs as they meander through the Folk genre, dipping their toe in Pop, Bluegrass, Country, Rock, and a little Boogie Woogie along the way! Their bluegrass instrumentation is only a âsmoke screenâ for the smorgasbord of acoustic arrangements GOLD HILL is serving up!
HANDS DOWN, released in 2004, is GOLD HILL's second studio effort. It includes 14 original songs that they feel really reflect their passion for arranging and producing unique material, at the same time defining their idea of what great music should be. From the first track, âWho Who Whoâ, with it's âDjango-esqueâ guitar and mandolin duel grabbing center stage, to the last track, â35 Yearsâ, a fiddle-driven bikerâs fond lament of his years spent on the road, this collection of songs smoothly shifts gears through many acoustic genres.
