Embracing is the beginning of my track by track growth into the musical unknown. The songs from Embracing extend as far back as grade school rhymes. They are poetic verses that I used to sing to family and friends, that I always wanted to hear with music. Back in the day, I used to voice over using two small 'scratchy' tape recorders. Voice overs were fun, but my humming melodies and lip vibrating basses, got a little old. Those tapes never did the music in my thoughts justice...and frankly neither does Embracing. When I completed Embracing I wasn't sure if I should release it. Embracing sounded raw and flat no matter how much I mastered it , I felt I should probably let it collect dust like my old voice over tapes. Instead I felt I would do what I have always done, and just be true. On each album I produce I hope there will be a noticeable improvement from the last, if not this was all a bad idea. I'll let the world listen or plug their ears as I try to improve my music skills, for better or worse...
