Songwriting duo Robyn Landrum and AJ Sacher teamed up in 2003 and began playing in small L.A. bars as Crash Davis. Their work became a mix of Robyn's penchant for writing the old country murder ballad with AJ's rhythm-heavy arrangements. They've been described as "acoustic-punk" and "alt. rock-country", though the genre-labeling has always left something to be desired when attempting to define this band. However, these guys have always written songs that are multi-layered with lyrics that are as interesting to read as they are heard.
Over the past two years they have released one EP and have added Chris Shanley on bass. Their new release,"Damage Control", is a full LP of new and re-worked material that was released May 2, 2005 in Los Angeles.
