Phestur came to existance in april of 1999. After being in cover bands and tribute bands founder and lead man Adam Hines decided that singing someone elses music just wasn't fun anymore.

With that in mind he began to round up a line up, which like in most bands changed several times. by the end of 1999 the band had a line up and a name. PHESTUR. Born from founder/frontman Adam's name and favorite childhood t.v. show the Addam's family, the loveable Uncle Fester. Just a tweek in the spelling made the name PHESTUR a keeper.

By early to mid 2000 the first of the line up changes began, losing the original bass player to a move to kansas city. The new replacement came at a show, which happened to be the original bass players final show, at a popular cleveland club. Jake Doerger came to see PHESTUR at the request of a friend, Phestur drummer Scott Munson. He came, he saw, he joined the band. This line up stuck for 6 years.

In that 6 year span, the band racked up nearly 120 gigs a year, put out 3 full length albums , 'Fujita's Pad' in 2000, 'Here it Comez' in 2001, 'Phestur 3" in 2003, which became PHESTUR-Downtown and Underground in 2004 after signing a deal with sonic wave international. Prior to and beyond that, the band was part of UNDERCURRENTS 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003. CMF [cleveland music festival] 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006. NYC.FAME talent search, the international music expo 2002, many festivals and radio shows as well.

Then in 2006, Adam made a huge change in the line up, as Jake and Scott both had just run to empty, replacing them when he did saved their friendships and that took precidence over the band at that time. Enter the new line up, long time friends Tony Colon , Weedge [just Weedge], and Art Koch.

These guys had been in a couple bands that Phestur helped put on the gigging circuit, after playing so many shows with their band(s), the members grew tight, and Tony joked with Adam many times about joining the band. Little did anyone know how real that statement would become.

In early 2006, the new line up decided to put out their first 'teaser' E.P. and made it an unplugged as this was right before Art joined the band on drums. Then PHESTUR moderately giged over the 2006 season and began recording the new release of 'Fine' Pompeii', PHESTUR's 4th album.

Phestur has now become a familiar name on the Cleveland music scene, if you haven't seen them, you've heard of them.
as 2007 moves along into 2008, you'll be hearing even more from the band. And look for the release of 'Fine' Pompeii' and it's follow up also now in production.
