Track 1. I wonât be home for Christmas,

I had toyed with the idea of writing a Christmas song for some time, I had written a few before but felt I was being led by the commercial jingly jangly metaphors from the past, I wanted to write something with a bit more substance, A Christmas song that portrayed an alternative view, Then it came to me when I was watching T.V.

You will notice that the song is written in the form of a young soldier writing home to his parents, This was deliberate on my part, I wanted to acquire that type of closeness to the family,And with the lyric in the chorus of the distant gunfire sounding like Christmas crackers it soon becomes frightfully real,The song maintains itâs balance throughout and is bright and easy listening with a great arrangement (Though you never think you have done enough). I donât want to say to much about it in case I influence your judgement, Have a listen Iâm sure you will enjoy it,It has already received excellent reviews.

Track 2. Rebecca Flynne,

Having a history of Irish descendants and being in and out of love to varying degrees throughout my life, Rebecca Flynne was bound to be written, Is there a real Rebecca Flynne?, Who knows, But every man that has ever been or dreamed of being in love will recognise her, This is a beautiful Irish ballad and a classic in the making, It has received excellent reviews and I am sure will be picked up by other artists, I originally sang the song but it soon became clear that the dulcet tones of Don lewis our Bass guitarist gave the lyrics a smoother more vibrant feel, added to by our lead guitarist Paul lewis, If you are a fan of ours,and if not Iâm sure you will be,You will love this stunningly lyrical piece,All fans want their bands to do well, So they can talk about them to their friends,We think we have achieved this with these two songs, You will be proud to say, âThatâs the Raptorsâ.
