Description:

(ID 219338)
This album proves to be their best work to date; from the very first song, you get grabbed by their tight and groovy rhythm section which gets accented by Tucker's vocals and "the harpinator" Nelson's sweet harp tone.

11 MP3 Songs
BLUES: Electric Blues, BLUES: Chicago Style

Details:
From their original material to classic covers by bluesmen such as BB King, Elmore James, and Eric Clapton, Crosscut plays the blues, the whole blues, and nothing but the blues.

Based in Huntsville, Alabama, Crosscut has been playing together for almost a decade now. They play an emotional and rhythmic style of blues, heavily centered on vocals and harp. But one can be assured that this is not just any old ordinary blues band.

While classic blues standards are part of their repertoire, the band also focuses on the performance of original materials. But their approach is not easily reduced to one of just ordinary blues. While respectful of classic blues forms, Crosscut is not afraid to explore forms other than standard 3 chord blues.

The real energy of the band comes from the lyrical freshness of the songwriting. Working to avoid the clichés that often plague blues lyricists, Crosscut explores timeless themes from a modern perspective. While the classic themes of love, work, joy, and pain still predominate in their music, the references to them are from our current time.

This will lead you to say, "That song is my life," just as it has done to many other Crosscut audiences in the past.
