Sh! The Octopus began as a solo project of singer-songwriter Randy Bishop in July of 2003. After deciding to take the project more seriously Bishop recruited guitarist and former high school band mate Andy Stachowiak in late 2005. Drummer Joel Pearson and bassist Chris Sesta joined the project in the spring/summer of 2006. Vocalist/Pianist Christine Baxter joined in the winter/spring 2007.
The band has been noted for their witty, socially apt lyrical content and a high quality of musical craft. Devoid of pretension, Sh! The Octopus is a culmination of proletariat values with strict adherence to grassroots musicianship. Essentially, theyâre a group of guys (and gal) making really good rock music.
