The spontaneous interaction between Tres Gone and the audience brings the listener to the edge of a creative discovery, often presented with a choice of focusing on one artist, or absorbing the collective ensemble.
When most music scene savvy folks think about modern psychedelic bands, they usually think of the young turks, of hairy fairies like Devendra Banhart or any of the billion youngsters making trippy music in '06. Psychedelic music, for all its flaws and faults, has always been at its best as "young" music, music that brimmed with '60s-ish optimism, and innocent (sometimes ill-advised) disdain for pop convention. Tres Gone, then, are the grizzled veterans of the Portland psyche scene. But while they may look like your dad, they don't sound like him. Improvs yield golden nuggets of druggy noise, elements of classic rock can be seen (if you look close) in full-on noise collages. This is a very Portland 2006 sounding sound, but just know it's also pretty timeless.
Excellent musicians. This song truly transports the listener to another place. All instruments are played with a lot of professional skill. An excellent example of how progressive sounding music should sound these days. I found myself listening to the whole thing and then listening again. I love IT!
I like the drums already. This is cinematic and experiencial... Absolutely great soundscapes you create. The lead guitar is good with the effects, and very inventive. I like the bass when it sinks in with the drums and lays it down. I love long jams especially how patiently you build them. Awesome guitar work at the end. Keep it up!
Great instrumental. I just love the drum on this one. Really cool intro, I like those creepy guitar you added in the background. The groove is a good one. The guitar is solid throughout the song. I do love the ending on this one, and in fact the song is always interesting. Even if it lasts for a long time, I don't feel the urge to press fast forward.
