DJ Yosamite was spinning anniversaries and weddings in the Dallas area before being introduced to a St. Louis cat by the name of Hysteria 51 in 1999. Their first group, âThe Caretakers,â was formed shortly thereafter. This was a collaborative effort between Hysteria 51, DJ Yosamite and Andy Arsenal. They played shows all around Denton, TX and a few in Dallas, however, they never actually released a full length album.

It wasnât until 2001, that Hysteria 51 did a solo album entitled, âThe Radio Transmitted Disease,â with guest vocals by Andy Arsenal, Khaklit Abyss and cuts by Yosamite. This album saw very limited distribution. However, it was a launching pad for the future of what would become AMPM Sound and would eventually lead to the formation of The Triggermen. The Caretakers disbanded in 2002 after Andy Arsenal left the group, but a new era of creativity and hungriness followed with Hysteria 51 and DJ Yosamite heading the charge with The Triggermen.

The fall of 2005 marked the release of âProm Night,â the debut album from The Triggermen. This CD is a conceptual album, a telling tale of love, heartbreak, scandal, comedy, tragedy and, of course, dirty pillows. Itâs like a 21st century Tempest or Romeo & Juliet, but with condoms and cars. This wistful ride takes you through the final stages of the life of a typical high-school senior and their preparations for the âgreatestâ night of their life.

Their second album, "Bar Fights of the Cheap and Shameless," hits upon certain themes from "Prom Night," but goes in a different direction altogether. Are friends are all grown up now. Graduation is over and it's off to the real world, as life lessons come full circle and the lifestyles of sex, drugs and rock and roll, start
interfering with long standing relationships. Booze, slowly but shurley start to replace friends.

Now the concept behind AMPM Sound is that it serves as an umbrella that encompasses many projects and ideas. The Triggermen is just one of those projects. Later this year we will see the release of Mucho Machismo, staring Eddie Beck (Hysteria 51) and Bruce Banister (Ben Jansen). Also in the works is a DJ Yosamite instrumental album with various collaborations.

The Triggermen continue their touring exploits this year with contributions from female vocalist, Jennie Sonta. They will be âShooting down ideas at a stage near you.â
