This is more of a solo effort than my last album 'share', but I'm happy with the songs and the message. Even though its very politically edged, that's just me, the real imperfect me, sometimes very opinionated.

In today's world we need to make so many fundamental changes in our daily lives and attitudes that talking more openly and frequently about politics is our only hope. Democracy is our greatest asset, but only if we participate, and work towards a more just and economically just,equal and civilized society.

I appreciate the musicians' and engineers' talents and passion that helped create this.

Mike sings 'Walking in Haiti' and I did the music. He has a wonderful voice. Its an old 4-track song(you can hear the phone ring in the background).

I went to Haiti in the early 80s with my girlfriend and my brother and his girlfriend. He'd been a Marine embassy guard there and wanted to visit. The only time I've been out of the US. Very beautiful country and unbelievable poverty and desperation. I can't understand the desire for wealth and fame when so many of us are starving both physically and spiritually. We're here to help each other, not compete for gold and riches.

Most of the lyrics of 'Come on Home' are words from a native-American Florida chief (@1530) talking about the Castilian conquistadors.

Much of the first-half of the song 'Latin Labor Groove' are quotes of Robert F. Kennedy and the movie 'Grapes of Wrath'(I love them both).

Hippie Heart is an old 4-track instrumental that I put some vocals on this year; that's why it has so much hiss in the mix (but hippies don't care too much about perfection; that's not the human way, just be sure to put your heart into it!).

The many have too little. The few have too much. The environment's sacred nature (which we're just a part of) is being abused and even destroyed.Let's bring respect and equality to our beautiful world and experience the love that's waiting to flower in all of us. Together.
