Unearthed was started in late 2003 when Dave Abell and Bill Owen, former Purgatory band mates, started writing music together again. They called their friend Gene Adam (Purgatory, Iced Earth) to handle the vocal duties. They entered Red Room Recorders studio and recorded their first demo with Mark Prator producing, engineering and playing drums on the record. Richard Bateman (Purgatory, Agent Steel, Nocturnus, Nasty Savage, Gardy-Loo!) then joined the band and shortly there after Chris Maraman took over on drums. With this line up they played shows in Tampa and throughout central Florida with bands such as Gardy-Loo!, Paths of Possesion, Contorted, Hallow's Eve, Iron Cross and many more. Then in May they did a short tour with Gardy-Loo! with shows from Michigan to Florida including the "Classic Metal Fest" in Chicago. After this tour Gene Adam left the band for personal reasons, but the band kept going. Doing shows throughout Florida with Dave Abell on vocals including the "Bay Area Hard Rock Festival" in April of 2006. Now a new chapter is about to begin with the release of "Imposition of Faith".

UNEARTHED would like to thank some people without whos help this record would not have turned out like it did. First of all Mark Prator, engineer/producer from Red Room Recorders. He's worked with the likes of Obituary, Nasty Savage, Genitouturers and we feel fortunate to have worked with him twice now. He makes recording easy and it always sounds good. Secondly Rob Kustes, who was in Innersanctum with Bill Owen, who came in and added lyrics to a few songs as well as vocals on 3 tracks of the new record. We look forward to working with him in the future as he's a great lyricist and vocalist. And last but certainly not least Rob Barrett (Cannibal Corpse, Hate Plow, Malevolent Creation) who came in and did 2 amazing solos on the record. Rob is obviously very busy, with Cannibal Corpse's extremly busy touring schedule, but he made time to do this for us and we can not thank him enough. Of course this thanks list doesn't mention fans that have supported us, other bands we've played with, media who have shown interest in the band and supported metal in general but you all know we thank you as well and will continue doing so.
