Fernando Zaplana Gomila (Bandsman) was born in Cartagena, Spain, in 25/05/1962. Married. One daughter.

Since he was fifteen he started to play guitar and compose music, initiating his first steps under the influence of well-known artist as The Beatles, Jimmy Hendrix, George Benson, Stevie Wonder, Joe Turner, Count Bassie, Sarah Vaughan, George Gershwin, Henry Mancini, Enio Morricone, Cole Porter, Stephan Grapelli, Frank Sinatra, etc.

After finishing his University Chemistry Degree and Business & Administration studies he completed Elementary Music studies (Modern & Jazz Harmony) sharing his professional activities with his own music production.

His is a self-taught and eclectic musician and songwriter, with about 100 composed and registered songs in several styles like Jazz, Classic, Bossa-nova, Lounge, Symphonic, Disco, Pop, Electronic, Rock, Blues, etc. Although his main influence is Jazz, his music has the same Mediterranean influences than the author. Many of his songs can be classified as âmusic for filmsâ.

He has participated in some Jazz gigs in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Ibiza, highlighting his participation in the 2000 Injuve International Jazz Festival in Ibiza with Notan Big Band.

Actually he is developing his music projects aided by computer technologies like Cubase and several Music Edition systems.

Several of his songs have been selected for Licensing Contracts by companies in USA, Canada and Australia for TV & Film purposes.

His song âBotafochâ reached the semi-final status in the 2006 International Songwriting Competition in Nashville USA, in the instrumental category.
