Bio (by Bradâs biggest fan, his Mom) Brad Meador, San Francisco Singer/ Songwriter, was a simple country fiddler and quiet young lad in the Deep South until the summer of his 15th year when he snagged a part as Conrad in a production of Bye Bye Birdie. After that, the world was his stage for music, theater, and all manner of expression. His versatility ranged from playing string bass with the symphony and local chamber groups to dancing and singing in a show choir, but before too long the guitar became his real passion. Acoustic, electric, twelve-string, you name it and he played it. A self-taught guitarist, Brad now cuts solo music as well as making melodies with his younger sister. Working from his home recording studio/bedroom in San Francisco, he adds fiddle, mandolin, bass, and multiple guitars to his original tracks while singing solo and backup about life, love, and the roads he travels. Bradâs exploration of all types of largely acoustic music, from Dwight Yoakam to James Taylor, is apparent as you listen to the variety of styles in his original tunes which often contain attention-grabbing guitar solos. Brad has parlayed his love of the guitar, singing, and songwriting into the independent release of his first album, downtime. Filled with original songs of love and heartache, this album clearly shows his influences, following the musical stylings of such artists as Chris Isaak, Lyle Lovett, and David Wilcox while bringing Bradâs unique views on basic human relationships to light.
