Usually mistaken for a Phish song, "Marijuana" is a (previously) unreleased, but massively bootlegged Brian Robbins demo.

For the record, Phish has no connection to the song. Robbins recounts, "While living in Boston, I used to walk by a movie theater on my way to school. One day I noticed a big sign in the window that proudly proclaimed, 'We drug test all of our employees.' I found myself pondering the absurdity of a society that noddingly approves of a business that tests the urine of a person doling out popcorn, or ripping your ticket in half. That afternoon I wrote the hook of the song: 'Marijuana, the government wants to test me when I pee.'"

Known for his topical and often satirical songs, Brian Robbins is a Los Angeles-based recording artist whose albums include "On" (Brian Robbins Band) and "Banned in the State of Utah."
