These twelve songs were written over a five year period. I have been playing guitar for many years, but not until I experienced some profound losses in my life did I have any need to compose simply for the relief that songwriting provides. I never intended to make a career in music, as I have one in the world of mental health - hey, you be the judge ! I played these songs for my family. Two of my sons are musicians and they said "pretty cool, pop", and so, here are twelve of my best. I know that most of them tend toward darkness and gloom, but that is the kind of song that makes me feel good, to write, to play, and to sing. If you can give these tunes a chance, as some of my friends have, you may find that they get inside you and, I hope, put you in touch with something a bit below the surface of things.
