Details:
"Cosmic, ethereal, hypnotic. Ancient and modern. The music of Feel Factor takes listeners beyond the realm of day to day distractions to a place of calm and mysterious beauty."
As Feel Factor, Todd and Penny Glacy combine their diverse musical backgrounds with a common passion for spiritual growth, connection, and creative expression. Utilizing a wide array of instruments including woodwinds, percussion, guitar, voice, keyboards, samples, loops, and effects, Feel Factor synthesizes elements of improvised, ambient, new age/meditation, world, and contemporary music into an original blend all their own. Their sound has been described as âcosmic etherealâ, âexoticâ, and âsimply beautifulâ.
Penny Glacy has an extensive background as a classical musician. Her experiences include performing on clarinet and flute in professional wind ensembles, orchestras, and as a soloist in a wide array of music festivals and concerts throughout New England. More recently she has been exploring more âethnicâ instruments such as Native American and bamboo flutes, vocals, and percussion to further expand her musical voice and creativity. She also teaches Yoga/Meditation classes in Southern Maine.
Todd Glacy is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and has been a performer of ambient, experimental, world, and popular music for over two decades. His passion for sound inspires him to explore and incorporate a diverse variety of acoustic and electronic instruments and sound generation techniques. He has a deep respect for the trance-formative power of music and relishes being âin the zoneâ, especially when he is able to share the experience with others.
REVIEWS
"I am listening now to "Flutopia" and as I listen my home is filled with the warmth and healing vibrations you most certainly put into your music. "You have good hearts" my Grandfather would say... I agree! Without reservation I can say, I love your CD! You have captured the spirit that lives in each of our hearts. I am sure you will do well with this fine addition to the family of world music sounds that are finally issuing forth from open hearts that have long been silenced by the overwhelmingly biased and controlled music industry. Please keep playing you songs, the world needs this healing music."

"How do you describe beautiful music (or art or yoga or anything really), to someone who hasn't experienced it? You can just muster up a bunch of adjectives - which everyone uses to describe all good art and music. Lilting, graceful, soothing, relaxing, inspiring, transcendental.
All apply here. Flutopia's soothing and mystical flute playing was just perfect for our week of teacher training at Omega this year - fit in so seamlessly with the sounds of nature - the deer, the woodchucks, the bunnies, the wind, the trees rustling, the rain. Serves as a mantra, a vehicle to access deeper states of consciousness, quiet the thought waves, and anchor the attention to the present moment."

"I wanted to let you know that my oldest son loves Flutopia and we have been listening to it together every night before bed. It has become a way for our whole family to slow down and be together and it has been such a beautiful experience."
