Biography
Imaginary Airship is an indie-pop band based out of Portland, Oregon. We're inspired by a lot of classic rock and pop from the 60's and 70's, but we're not trying to be retro, or a throwback. The goal is to use those inspirations to create a sound of our own: something catchy, inventive, and timeless. Even if we don't succeed at this ambition, hopefully we'll still be left with some great songs at the end of the day. We try a lot of far out arrangements, but melody is always the most important ingredient in our sound. More than anything, we want to be a band that is dynamic, epic, and unpredictable, taking the listener on a musical journey that greatly involves his or her own imagination.
