Chamber music without the chamber.

9 MP3 Songs
ELECTRONIC: Virtual Orchestra, CLASSICAL: Traditional

Details:
Mozart's Figaro Overture was never intended for a large heavy-handed orchestra. That is clear from the light and airy and intricate parts. Cyberchambermusic retrieves it from the darkness and presents it to the light. This is achieved by cancelling out the concert-hall reverberation. Also, the string sections are replaced with single instruments. We use only two violins and one each viola, cello and contrabass instead of large string sections. Listen for the bright second violin part (especially in the finale) on the right channel. This is one of the many charming bits that may be lost in the concert-hall.

Schubert's Violin Sonata, D.574, and Beethoven's Cello Sonata Opus 69, (both in four movements) are minor works. Why? Because they are seldom heard. And why are they seldom heard? Because there is so much else to choose from. However, cyberchambermusic's position is that if these sonatas were all that was written by Schubert and Beethoven, they would be considered as masterpieces.
