Cynthia Brown is a masters' prepared registered nurse currently enrolled in a doctor of nursing science program in south Florida. She is a holistic nurse and specialty areas include relaxation, stress management, positive life coaching, and hospice nursing. She is currently teaching nursing, classes include: Caring for Self, Spiritual Caring in Nursing, and clinical instruction in the hospice and long term care areas. At the beginning of each experiential class, an exercise is done with music, positive thought, and relaxation techniques.
For many years, her voice has been recorded at home for friends and family to assist them when undergoing life altering events such as surgery, chronic illness, insomnia, and eating disorders.
Tom Dalton, MA,LMHC, MT-BC, has a Master's in Mental Health Counseling and is a Board Certified Music Therapist at Hospice Of Palm Beach County. Previously Tom worked as the children and adolescent Music Therapist at Horizons Bereavement Center, a program within Hospice of Palm Beach County, providing music therapy and counseling for children and teens who are dealing with the terminal illness or death of a loved one.
In addition to Hospice work, Tom has provided music therapy with stroke patients, children, adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities, Autism, ADHD, Alzheimer's Disease and those who have had traumatic brain injury. Tom provides conference presentations and workshops on music therapy, hospice, bereavement, suicide loss, technology and the use of clinical songwriting.
The flowers on the CD cover are from Cynthia's garden. The tall, pink flowers are foxglove, used to heal the heart.
