Details:
In the deep recesses, somewhere in between the clicks of the clock, somewhere in behind creationâs couch, there was one beautiful equation. To know it is to slip through the background radiation of the big bang (reminded to us by a static filled TV set at 3 in the morning).

When it was time to plant the seed, it had to last just long enough for fruition. But the powers had to believe that they were in control and would be more in control than ever over those FEW - so said âThe Dealâ.

No tricks, no wires, no surgeries, nothing traceable at all. Just a suggestion of the pieces aimed directly at a niche, to be collected like some psychological/subliminal scavenger hunt.

This particular experiment subject was cataloged as EDM-N4221.631-W885.462. (But weâll call him Ed for short.)

You see the aliens werenât interested in any sort of tabloid occurrence. They were here to help us grow to the next stage (of course under the guise of enslaving us for those without the right.)

And the most perfect place for this genius germ to sprout? That was in the dreams: inside Edâs head.

AN EXPLANATION:
Ed's Head is a concept album, but done in a more "underground/greasy kids stuff/bombastic/by the seat of one's pants/Chicago Indie" kind of way. Hence the "Graphic Audio Novel". In other words, like a thick, really detailed, well done, layered comic book - but classier! Mostly, because I worked in the word "novel".

What's it about? Aliens are contracted by the American Government to enslave the human race!! But WAIT!! The aliens have other plans in mind (quite literally)! Through a series of subliminal messages coded in pi-binary and transmitted through television, the aliens double cross all branches of government and prepare to set humanity free. (Now THAT'S tax dollars at work.)

Holy Pete Townshend on a crack bender, Batman! How will they achieve their souped-up subliminal swindle?!

Well, I'm glad you asked!

This is to be achieved via a sort of super-powered-sleep-Zen-solution (completely beyond our understanding) that will activate hidden technology (dating back to the arrival of the very first stars) buried deep in the cerebral cortex of the human brain.

This album is what happens over the course of one night in the dreams of one particular test subject: EDM-N4221.631-W885.462 as the powers that would be refer to him. But that's a bit lengthy. Let's call him "Ed" for short.

WHY IN THE HELL DID THIS ALBUM TAKE FOUR YEARS:

After trial, tribulation, more trial, some tribbles, then a few more
tribulations mixed with bad luck, dribbles and even worse
circumstances, the sackings, the sackings of those who were
responsible for the sackings getting sacked, forgetting to return the
sacks on time and getting charged a late fee, trying to get the late
fee taken off by explaining (very nicely I might add!) to the clerk
that aliens ate my Buick and there was just NO WAY that I could
possibly have returned the sacks on time and having them ignore me,
complaining to the manager and getting the clerk sacked, temporary lay
offs, easy credit rip offs, scratchin' and surviving, hangin in a chow
line, ain't we lucky we got 'em, good times, movin on up to the east
side, above us only sky, buying nuclear text books for atomic crimes
and fighting the forces of darkness only for them to be sacked and
replaced by llamas...

All of that, and... it had to be perfect!

So, enough reading - make like a Conehead and buy mass quantities!!!

How many licks does it take to get to the center of the universe?

Paddy Leitsch is a multi-instrumental recording artist, engineer and producer in the FAR left field of instrumental rock and experimental music. Don't call him a shredder, 'cos really he's a blender!!

His cryptic and somewhat obtuse personality leads him to describe his music with one question:

What would it sound like if Pink Floyd, The Beatles and Joe Satriani were caught in a Tom Baker era episode of Doctor Who?
