As far back as I can remember I have always wanted to be out front on stage as an entertainer. Now whether or not my desire has served to my benefit or detriment I will probably never know. However, I have been given a wonderful opportunity to perform some of the most incredible music ever written. Many of the tunes covered on this project were originally created during the 1970âs, when I was young and impressionable. It was during this era that music had its greatest influence on my life and on the lives of fellow âBaby Boomersâ. The music was powerful, passionate and exploding with endless possibilities. Getting your groove on with exciting, thought provoking groups like Weather Report, Spiro Gira, The Yellow Jackets, Herbie Hancock and the Head Hunters was the norm. And then if course, you had great saxophonists putting it down like Ronnie Laws, Grover Washington Jr., Stanley Turrentine and Gato Barbieri just to name a few.

Step to This is a compilation of classic standard jazz tunes that have endured three decades. They remain as vibrant as the day they were originally written and performed.
