MIC SUBLYME

Mic Sublyme was born Michael Parker August 25th 19$$ in Chicago Ill. He developed an early love for music, being that his older brother was a DJ in the Chicago styled house music group Frequency One. Learning the basic principles of the ones and twoâs at only five years old. At the tender age of 12 he moved down to Atlanta, GA. where he was introduced to a growing phenomena called hip-hop. Citing such artists as Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Cool G Rap, and Naughty by nature he quickly gained prowess on the MIC. After teaming up with his best friend and partner in crime and forming the duo URBAN HAVIK, SUBLYME recorded several studio projects in the efforts to gain a record deal. Promoting by way of shows at such venues as SAVANA CRUSH FEST, FROZEN PARADISE and ILLUSIONS to name a few. The duo was also featured on ARNELL STARâS underground music program. Rooted in the deep pain of the Chicago streets and the traps of the Dirty South, his lyrical stylings were of a hardcore âreality rapâ nature. Many years of hard work and determination saw some, but no major success. Always having the talent for harmonizing, he decided to combine the now blossoming Neo Soul sound with the hardcore lyrics he had become accustomed to writing, creating a new sound called THUG SOUL. SUBLYME credits his soul chops to the credit of greats like Donnie Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson (off the wall), and Marvin Gaye just to name a few. The music industry as we know it has been looking for a change, henceforth now and forever we give youâ¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦
