Damian Espinosa Trio (DET) Bio

The Damian Espinosa Trio is Damian Espinosa on piano, Paul Steinbeck on bass and Scott Garrigan on drums-a hard-hitting jazz piano trio that plays an eclectic mix of music including original jazz compositions, selections from the standard jazz repertory, free & avant-garde jazz, R&B, and funk-influenced jazz. The Trio possesses a diverse sound built on driving energy, strong swing, and an extensive knowledge of styles. Over the past few years, the Trio has played in and around the Chicago jazz scene, provided music for private engagements, played at jazz festivals, accompanied silent films, and backed several instrumentalists and vocalists.
