My Story:
My name is Robin E. Gant, hometown Aliquippa, PA, Recording Artist, Vocalist, Song Writer, Choir Director, Producer and Retired Army Sergeant Veteran of 22 years. Currently resides and a member of Bethel A.M.E Church in Leavenworth, Kansas. Currently employed by The Social Security Administration, Federal Building, Kansas City, MO.
My recently released CD on July 22, 2007, entitled âYou Donât Have To Leave Here The Sameâ is a collaboration talent, musical expertise, experience, God's love and faith between, Music Producer, Writer and Engineer; Mr. Ronald Coaxum and myself. The hard work, effort and passion put into this project by Ron and I produced a quality and professional sound. TAXI, a world leading independent A&R Music company, reviewed and screen this CD stating: A Great Tradition Gospel sound, truly a pleasure to be able to not only witness your ministry but also be affected by it. Your ministry is sure to minister to and encourage the souls of the saint as well as sinner. The CD also received laudatory remarks from pastors, musicians, friends and worshippers.
This was a year long project produced with one purpose in mine, to lift up the name of the Jesus our Christ the Lord, in music and in song. The CD is currently receiving airplay on several radio stations in the Kansas City, MO area, particularly KMJK, MAGIC 107.3.
During the production of the CD, I faced several trails and dealt with several life changing events. In September of 2006, with faith in God and help from my Aunt Janet Sligh, I overcame some financial difficulties that enabled me to move my mother Shirley Reeder from Aliquippa, Pennsylvania to Leavenworth, Kansas, to live a quieter and more peaceful life.
My Big Brother Victor J. Gant (Dap), to whom this CD was dedicated to, pass away suddenly on November 17, 2006, 5 days before his 51st birthday. Victor was preparing to move from Pittsburgh, PA to join my mother and me in December 2006. The 13th song on the CD âHe Keeps On Blessing Meâ was sung by my Big Brother on November 12, 2006, with The Christian Travelers, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, McKeesport, PA, Rev Earlene Coleman, Pastor. I am very proud that many are being blessed by the message and music of this project; It is great to be a blessing to other and to be able to use my talents to serve God. Iâm also especially proud of the back cover pictures of Victor and me, in tribute to him.
