To understand the roots of Brought Down Running, we must first start with the band Bus Driver Roy. Bus Driver Roy was an Orange County punk band that started back in 2001. This punk band played gigs all over Los Angeles and Orange County for the next four years until, after letting go of their third drummer and sixth guitar player the band called it quits.
Then six months later in 2005, ex-Bus Driver Roy members Jeff Ridley (vocals) and Cory Cooke (bass) reformed with guitarists Dive and Paul Yuch to create Brought Down Running. Soon after forming, the band picked up Brandon Kajita(Drums)and got ready to release their first full length Lp entitled "The Death of Roy."
