Details:
Dave Huff has been a fixture in the Detroit music circuit since 1996 although his musical roots extend back much farther than that. Growing up as the son of a classically trained musician, Dave's style and original music reflects a wide variety of genres including folk, rock, campfire and country. No two songs sound the same on Dave's first CD release, "Hey Folks!" and his vocals, acoustic guitar, and harmonica blend seamlessly with the rest of the instruments to produce a great sound that's catchy, easy to listen to and fun to sing along with.

"Hey Folks!" is an anthology of Dave's experiences as an observer of and participant in life. His lyrics tend to lament inconsistencies in human behavior and the careful listener will find that they portray an underlying confidence in our basic goodness. When Dave's not writing or recording songs, he can be found on the campus of the University of Detroit-Mercy where he is a professor of Information Systems...a profession that he loves and that keeps him infused with the energy and insight of our next great generation.

Artists who have been significantly influential to Dave include: Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, Bob Dylan, Arlo Guthrie, Gordon Lightfoot, Fleetwood Mac and Sister Hazel.
